Become an IBR Editorial Book Reviewer
In addition to writing book reviews for free, we also help small press and self-published authors obtain pull-quotes for their marketing material with editorial book reviews. When an author or publisher purchases an editorial review, an IBR editorial book reviewers agrees to write a 400-750 word book review within four weeks. This review is originally unpublished and sent to the author/publisher’s email, but if the reviewer likes the book and would recommend it to IBR’s audience, we will publish the review on the website. This is a paid position for reviewers who are willing to read across a variety of genres and guarantee a book review within 10 days (expedited) or four weeks (regular).

Become an IBR Book Reviewer
We are currently at full-capacity for our team of reviewers. If you would like to submit a single book review for potential publication on our website, please fill out the contact box below with the necessary information, and we’ll get in touch with you soon.
On average, we receive about two books per week. We also pitch publishers regularly to publish reviews of books that have piqued our interest. Since we want to increase publicity for as many authors as we can, we are looking to expand our team. While this is currently an unpaid position, but we are hoping to pay our senior reviewers in the future. For now, we offer our reviewers free books and the opportunity to get your words in front of as many readers as possible. Read a book review example here . If you have a book that you would like to review that has not been submitted to us, please include the title, author name, and publisher in the comment section. Publish a Guest Post
At Independent Book Review, we strive to appeal to two audiences: readers and writers. Upon publication, we will publish a short biography and author photograph to help build your writing portfolio.

We would love to consider articles in the following categories:

- Writing, publishing, and book marketing tips

Interview an Author
We would love to increase the amount of interviews we do here. We have a long list of authors that we would love to reach out to, but if you have recommendations, we would like to hear those too.
The interviewer is responsible for reading the book they are promoting as well as coming up with unique and entertaining questions. No prior experience is required, but we will need to see a relevant writing sample that illustrates your ability to read closely and communicate clearly.
